in a couple hours I am going to look at a complete 77 KZ1000 with big bore kit, Kerker, swingarm. Bike has "electrical problems" and has been sitting for a few years. Complete bike, supposedly ran great.

what is it worth now, to pick up as a resto? what could it be worth?

thanks

you have a lot of variables to set price....if its really toast electrically, you can start with one of these...

Unless the bike has been sitting in a field for several years rendering it a rust pile, $300.00 is very reasonable. Remember though, you still might have to pump a fair amount of money into it to rebuild it...it will depend upon the shape of the carbs, lower end, replace front end seals, wheel bearings, cables, electrical, tires, etc. etc. Hard to give you a decent evaluation w/out you seeing the bike and photos for us to ogle. Consider that if the bike were in good shape and running, it may be worth between US$1500 and $3000.

I would make sure that the motor spins over. Use the kick starter if necessary. Be cool to check compression too if able.
