i did my valve clearances, stripped and ultrasonicly cleaned my carbs, rebuilt the set, installed dyna coils and wires and put it all back together. this was supposed to be a winter project but you all know how that goes right?? suprisingly i only had to adjust synch on the two outter carbs!! gotta love that...steve

With all that time on your hands, you wouldn't happen to be coming up this way would you?

Can you share some more info on the Vac gauge set you built. Would love to see more pics and a parts list of how you put it together.

sure!! what your looking at is 4 1/4" npt industrial vacuum gauges, 4 1/4" npt brass short elbows,4 1/4"npt and 6mm inlet smc flow control valves ( snubbers ) 4 6mm to 8mm adaptors 4 8mm straight unions with check ( you dont really need it to check ) and a bunch of 6 and 8mm urethane vacuum or air hose also smc. you can get all this stuff from any motion industries or bearing house usualy or use what ya got. i made this thing about 15 years ago. all the fitting are the push type and good for pressure or vacuum. they dont leak a bit. learned about these from work. im gonna guess this whole thing including nails lol cost me about 60 bucks to fab up. the trick to this is to get 4 gauges that are exactly the same and if theyre not youll have to tweak the bourdon tubes until they are. if you have any more questions please ask...steve

hey how is the bike running the reason i'm asking are those numbers that on the first picture the bike is pulling for vacuam it seems kind of low i always personally shoot for as close to 20 inches on a set of sticks i've never used gauges before always sticks is there a differance in readings. by the way those gauges look pretty trick.
