As some of you may have followed an other posting in the chassis section, I finally obtained all my lower end parts so here's an update on the lower case replacement and build out.

Replaced cases w/main crank cap.
New APE Heavy duty cylinder studs.
Replaced shift drum, shift forks, shift spring and mechanism and all oil seals and gaskets.

I also used stainless steel allen head bolts (kit form Z1) versus those stripped out philip head bolts.

Ok, just a quick update...

New case, cylinder studs, shift drum and forks, seals, gaskets, timing chain, black chrome stainless steel brake lines, calipers rebuilt, 630 chain installed with 13.5mm offset counter sprocket, electrical tray...

NOTE: the 13.5mm was perfect!. It left ~ 1/8" of clearance to the frame tubing. See exploded view, middle image enclosed in RED...

This coming week, get the cylinder on with the continued timing components when applicable.

Another update... Clutch cover modified for the 13.5mm offset cc sprocket (Chain Oil Pump mount ground down and sides cut out for chain clearance).

Clutch cable adjustments completed to service manual specs, clutch release and push rod assembly cleaned and greased for strong and smooth operation...

ZX-9 extension figured out using another HEX coupler (from good old ACE hardware)

Nice application on the rear-sets. Are they a 'factory' rearset off something, like a ZX9R, 7R, or something?
