The painted rims really give it character, goes with the seat and the bars. Nice touch.

Thought I would update this thread with a couple new pics. I had some fun over the winter with some vinyl and covered the really groovy tear drop flames that I had on it before. I painted the headlight with some translucent hobby spray paint....

Bike looks awesome. I might have to steal that painted spoked wheel idea. Looks really mean.

How dod you prep the wheels to paint them?

Its one of my favorite things I have done. It really gives it attitude.
To prep I just used a scotch brite pad to scuff everything up a bit...then a coat of self etching primer...then just used some satin black spray paint...and done. Its held up great so far for a couple years now.

have you had any clearance problems with the bars interfering with the tank did you have to do anything to the steering stops, also if your planning on nitrous please get a welded crank it doesn't take much to twist a stock crank by the way the bike looks awesome

The bars do hit the tank. In fact, I have a paint chip on either side from the horn and starter buttons. But hasn't been a big enough deal for me to worry about doing anything to the stops. I need as much steering as possible to move it around the garage.
If I did do nitrous it would be more for the "holy crap..is that a nitrous bottle on that bike?" factor...I would do a very small shot as the bike is more than fast enough for me...or I guess I could just mount a small tank to the side and not hook it up and call it done:)

My clubmans hit my tank when I put them on so I just put a thick rubber type hose/washer on the stop and it solved the issue. Still leaves enough movement to be able to turn around in my small garage.

Beautiful bike BTW.

A new year and new pics. Been taking the Kaw to a local bike night and it always gets some attention.
New for this year...black clubman bars, new grips, clubman mirror, vinyl wrapped healight replacing the painted one before (much better), wrapped the pipes, did the WG coil mod (got 1.5 more volts at the coils), and did a carb sync, why I didn't do a sync earlier is beyond me....runs so much better! Really enjoying it this summer!
