TOPIC: Hello

Hello 1 year ago #522414

Hello all, my name is tom< I have been reading for a few days, and it seems that you have a great site here. About me: I love motorcycles to no end(could care less about brand), I will have fun on a broken down old harley that cant spin more than 2500 rpm just the same as I will screaming through the night on my gsxr. My 76 kz900a was my first and favorite bike. My father bought it new back in 76, racked up about 18,000 miles. then by the time me and(oddly enough) his friends talked him into letting me ride it, I was 16 (1999) and it was in need of a restoration. We did a minor resto and got her back on the road(thank god for that yamaha carb cleaner). which reminds me, thank god for the way the internet has blossomed. I remember it being a big ordeal trying to find a regulator/rectifier unit back then. at any rate my old kaw has been sitting for the better part of a decade and I decided to put her back on the road. I want a nice comfortable bike to take the squaw(my lovely wife) out for nice long rides on. I think it would be nice for her to have the chance to fall in love with motorcycles the same way I did (without a clue or a map). I dont have many picture available at the moment, but I will see if the site lets this you tube link fly, if not search "it lives" by tomolu5.

Welcome to z-jungle!
As long as the heads off you might as well pull the cylinder and oil pan to check everything else out.
posting from deep under a non-descript barn in an undisclosed location southwest of Omaha.
I get my parts from the same bunker under the non descript barn I post from.
