Tell me if this looks like CR*P :) Opinions wanted...

OK, I put a fairing on my bike. I am not sure what I think of it yet. I am going to post a few with/without pics and see what you folks think.

My wife says it looks like "an old man bike" now. My son thinks its cool.

What do you guys think :)

"Old man"? Hell no. I'd get lower bars, though.

Is it functional?

Looks ok, maybe makes the bike look a bit "front heavy". If it serves a function then the form is ok.

well...the jury is out on function as well. It puts the airstream right about helmet high on me. Lots more wind noise.

To my eye it works, no prob. I don't mind the chest, helmet buffeting so much, as the inner thigh ache on the highway that I get on some really windy days. (wind trying to pull your legs apart) I've actually gone for miles with my thighs spread eagled just to relax them. So far though I'm still into the naked bike thing.

Doesn't look terrible, but you're definitely going to want some lower bars!

Gotta get some lower bars... It just looks all wrong with the bars up that high with that type fairing.

I really can't say it looks like an old man's bike with that type fairing but I think it all has to do with the bars now.

So far it looks like we are leaning towards "looks like crap".

I have a set of superbike bars that I bought that are a little lower. They made all the cables too long so I put the originals back on. I might experiment with it a bit this winter when I redo the forward controls.

Is it the bars......or is it just an old man fairing.......I think I like it better naked. $100 lesson learned.

The fairing looks a liitle long on the back side.
When I make changes to my bikes, I usually leave them on for a few days and "ponder" the new look for a while to figure out if I really like it or not.
Give it a few days to grow on you,
