pod help

ok, so i finally decided to get around to installing my pods and i looked today and i was wondering what all i have to take off and what i should do with the ventilation hose thats attatched. I dont want to be ripping things off when i really dont have to so i figured asking more knowledgeable people first would save me some time. Thanks in advance. oh yeah its a kz440AE

Hi, I recently installed pods on my 82 KZ550 LTD. If you are referring to the vacuum switch, you can remove it, make sure that you plug the ports of any lines you take off. I removed the vacuum covers on the valve cover, and very carefully tapped them and installed a pipe plug in each cover. I will say I got real lucky and did not have to jet my bike, performance is great. You may have to rejet though. As for the crankcase vent, just install a filter or a tube and filter.
